Alcoa Corporation, a Delaware corporation (the Company), is active in all
aspects of the upstream aluminum industry with bauxite mining, alumina refining,
and aluminum smelting and casting. The Company has direct and indirect ownership
of 27 locations across nine countries on six continents.
The Company's operations in 2022 comprised three reportable business segments:
Bauxite, Alumina, and Aluminum. The Bauxite and Alumina segments primarily
consist of a series of affiliated operating entities held in Alcoa World Alumina
and Chemicals, a global, unincorporated joint venture between Alcoa and Alumina
Limited (described below). The Aluminum segment consists of the Company's
aluminum smelting and casting operations along with most of the Company's energy
production assets.
